 I HAVE A TEENAGER!!

The Nitty-Gritty Guide to Parental Sanity

Adolescence has always been a challenging time, for both teens and their parents. Its also a time when teens and parents want and need each other.

Help Me ... I Have a Teenager!! offers parents and teens practicaland down-to-earth advice to achieve the understanding and closeness they want.                         Bettie B. Youngs, Ph.D.

Move Beyond the Hassles...

Positive Solutions for Puzzled Parents

Being in the trenches with a teenager is not easy. As the mother of a 14 year-old boy said, "I think a Martian has taken over my teenager!" You may be in a state of shock because you no longer recognize the child who has now reached adolescence: moods change, identities shift and attitudes reverse. Parents struggle because the strategies that worked with an eight year-old typically backfire when used on a thirteen year-old. Since teenagers don't come with instruction manuals, parents are in need of a new set of parenting tools!

Help Me ... I Have a Teenager!! - The Nitty Gritty Guide for Parental Sanity offers parents of typical teenagers (if there is such a thing as a typical teenager) fresh ideas, specific common sense solutions and simple, easy to use techniques that really work. This book teaches ways to stay involved, how to talk to your teenager, how to be in charge without being charged up and explains the basics necessary to raise a competent, capable, positive teenager.

Help Me  ... I Have a Teenager!! offers  you Hope and Encouragement.
